I need input on a classic country music list. Can someone help me with what's missing?

I have compiled a list of several artists whose music I plan to buy/download as a gift this Christmas. Classic country isn't exactly my best subject, so I need some help in gathering a few more. If you were to compile a definitive list of who's who for pre-1990 country music, who (other than what I've already got listed below) could you simply not forget to add?

So far, I have: Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, John Conlee, Billy Joe Royal, Dan Seals, T.G. Sheppard, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Buck Owens, Statler Bros, Oak Ridge Boys, Ricky Van Shelton, Charlie Pride, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Elvis, K.T. Oslin, Kendalls, Hiway 101, Ronnie Milsap, Dolly Parton, Earl Thomas Conley, Dwight Yoakam. . .

These are all from suggestions by other people. I am looking for a huge list, so please list as many as possible. Best answer goes to whoever names the most, the best, and the ones I use the most of. Thanks!

Would You Think The View Television Show Could Be Watched More In The Afternoons?

That's what the folks at Walt Disney Co.'s ABC are exploring about The View television show. With Oprah saying goodbye to daytime television in September 2011 to center on the new cable network OWN which she is uniting with the company Discovery Communications, there's a lot of gunning for Ophra's place going on in the land of tv which might be calling on The View television show. The View television show could be a perfect fit for this time section in early evening television. Winfrey's television show is syndicated, which means that it is not tied to a specific but otherwise is bought by individual television stations from all over the country. The View television show would take the place of Ophra's show that is shown on ABC's big-market TV stations, including KABC in Los Angeles, WABC in New York, and WLS in Chicago and tons of ABC affiliates from all over the United States. These different scenarios could be very difficultabout The View television show for a number of explanations. First of all, The View television show, which shows in the morning, is a station show, meaning it is only carried on ABC stations. If ABC desired to relocate The View television show to the early evening in Winfrey's time slots as a station show, then ABC would have to persuade its TV networks to send back an hour of time that ABC as of right now controls. This could prove to be an incredibly difficult mission to complete. Where as a local station airs a syndicated show such as Oprah or DeGeneres, it gets more advertising inventory (about ten mins.) to sell than it could with a station (about 2 minutes). If ABC did need to move The View television show, it almost certainly would need to give up a lot more advertising time to its networks to bring the deal to a close. In Chicago, Oprah's show shows at nine in the morning. This is a tough situation for the The View television show producers.

An additional plan, maybe less imaginable, would be for ABC, would be to exchange The View television show with General Hospital, which typically airs at three p.m. on most of its stations. The danger there is that General Hospital has been running in the afternoon forever and a shift to early afternoon could intensely cause harm the show, which hangs on as one of the few soap operas left.

In addition ABC is deciding whether to try to turn The View television show into a syndicated show. That would mean that The View television show could be offering it to individual networks for money and commercial inventory. ABC partners might get upset by the thought of losing the show to the highest offeror, although there is a potential of bigger bucks for ABC and their owning company Walt Disney Co. The plus side of changing The View television show into a syndicated show or moving it as a station show is that early evening shows have the power to make more cash than shows that air in the morning. The View television show has the earning power to earn a ton of money if it's switched.

The View television show is working at a early afternoon talk show. Winfrey gets a more plentiful audience than The View television show and it seems not conceivable that The View television show could expand a whole lot more running in the early evening. ABC could in the end damaging The View television show prosperous franchise. If The View television show changed places with General Hospital as well, it might put in danger both shows. In my modest opinion, I know The View television show is worth the gamble.
